Hi All

I have not been on here for a while. It is super exiting to see what has happen.

Is all the players that is on the leader-board from USA. I am from South Africa and will test my machine over the coming weekend. Can not wait. I would want to do it sooner, but are writing exams.

Must one have a players card to join or will it work with out one?

Everybody i believe is from the US except spitfire, he is from Australia.  US games are seeing the leaderboards just fine but AU is not yet.  We are currently debugging that issue.  It is because global vr had seperate regions for tournaments and world tour.  The private server joins everybody together but must know what region code and number your game selects information by.  I need to know the information printed on the back of your dongle to make sure the server is including your region code.  Then it's trial and error to determine the region number.  So if you could send your dongle info that would be a great start.

Yes currently you need a reader and players card to play.  Readers are on ebay for under 100.  Need for speed underground readers are the same as pga.  Just make sure the reader has the red and green leds on front.

That should work, but it doesn't solve the problem.  Not everyone overseas is going to be savvy enough to load up the dongle emulator.

I agree with Ed, while that is a stop gap fix for Spit it doesn't solve the problem for others.  For instance gvd just wrote in today and said he is from South America.  I have no idea what the region number and code are.  The back of the dongle will give the code.  I.E. US, UK, AU.  That is why I need Spit to send me what's on the back of his dongle.  Would be a pisser if I am targeting AU and his dongle is UK, etc.  We will get to the bottom of this.  Just takes time.  If it was easy everybody would do it right.

Firstly well done on getting the game back on-line. I have been playing the game for a couple of years and competition would be great. As long as you all know you are playing for second place. lol

I do not see much on my dongle except this code: 1876306243 and:  EMMMQ 203586 or 203686

I have a card reader with the red and green led and a card. The card did not work with all access installed. I guess it should only be team challenge and the machine must be online for the card to work?

Thanks GVD.  So there is nothing on the dongle that has a country code like US, UK, or AU?  My team challenge dongle has "PGA TM CHALLENGE-US" on it.  Can you double check please?

I'm going to scour the cabinet's database to see if it is something that is possibly sent to the server.  There is a TON of stuff that is sent that i'm not storing.  Hope region is somewhere in there.

I think i'm on the right track.  I found all of the country codes.  Now there are 2 numbers that can be the region code.  I am going to look at my original non touched database to see if what I think the code should be matches what is on the original database.  For educational purposes, here are the region codes:

United States = US
Canada = CA
United Kingdom = UK
Ireland = IE
South Africa = ZA
Australia = AU
New Zealand = NZ
Italy = IT
Europe = EU
Japan = JP

I woke up this morning excited to see so much activity. Raced out to the machine called in but still no leaderboards boost. As stated earlier my dongle has a sticker on it that reads Pga team challenge AU on it and the settings say I'm in Australia.
Hey Yukon I love this game and play it regularly I to would firstly love to see the leaderboards he he but secondly agree that no fun if my name is the only one on there once boost fixes the problem. Is there any way boost as mention to only show the player top score?
Also boost why must you start you number selection from the wrong end! Next number please? Ha ha ha

Perfect, now I am 100% sure AU is the right value and we aren't chasing a red haring.  Also after doing more investigation I believe I know what the magic number is.  I will update the server tonight when I get home from work and let you know when it's time to call.

That's correct Jason, I've been spending all cycles working on Spit's issue.  I'm also not 100% sure that card info is being sent back to the cabinets.  I believe right now it's one way so more coding would be necessary.  I'll address after Spit is up and I have a machine on the real server with you guys :-)

You know what Jason, now that I think about it, I can at least fix the way you are seen on the leaderboards with one command.  Your card will still be blank or whatever, but on the boards you will appear properly.  I'll do that at the same time I upload the new AU region tonight.

I don't know the root cause right now so all I can say at this point is the server and cabinet are out of sync when it comes to your card info.  We can investigate once the spitfire dust settles.

Yes!!!!  The beast known as Spitfire has been released on the PGA community  hahaha.  You guys keep the #1 spot warm for me because after i fix Jasons card problem and get my game online I'll be coming to claim whats mine :-)
