Hantarex Polo remote board connector
« on: September 08, 2011, 04:57:32 am »
Anyone know the actual name and the manufacturer of this connector? It's pretty odd-looking: the mating side has a 2.54mm (.1") pitch but the PCB side is on two non-aligned rows of 5.08mm (.2") pitch each. The info in the manuals doesn't help. Googling for "thru-line connector" doesn't bring up anything related so I think it's not the actual name.

Answering my own question here... The connector was made by a manufacturer called Pressac that back in the day would also make CRT sockets, etc. They're still on the market but only make network cabling and such...

Bottom line, that connector is no longer made or carried by anyone so you can't make your own extensions. This also explains why Sambers switched to Lumberg connectors for the newer Hantarex monitors (post 1993).
