Maximus not responding to controls
« on: November 07, 2010, 12:00:21 am »
So for the past month I have been working on building a new control panel for my cabinet.  I used my same encoder as before (keywiz 40 st using the ps2 port) that had worked fine with maximus arcade for over a year.  After wiring up the new buttons and joysticks to the keywiz and giving it a test run I am running into a problem with getting maximus to respond to any of the controls while the keywiz is plugged in.  I know the keywiz is working and that I wired it correctly because i can play all of my emulators just fine outside of using maximus but if i load maximus neither my usb keyboard or my keywiz are able to control the program.  The weird thing is that if I restart my computer with the keywiz unplugged I am able to control maximus fine with the usb keyboard  :banghead:

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?  Maybe it is something simple that I have overlooked.  Any help would be greatly appreciated  :)

Try turning off NUMLOCK in the BIOS.  The X-Arcade Tankstick has a similar issue and it's outlined more here:  http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=104360.0
