6 in 1 jamma
« on: February 01, 2010, 01:55:48 am »
Just picked up a 6 in 1 jamma connector so I can have more than 1 game in my cabinet but I'm kinda confused.  I have MK2, UMK3, MK4 right now and will be picking up a Killer instinct 1 or 2 a 60 in 1 jamma pcb and a capcom 18 in 1 jamma pcb soon.  My problem is that I know the mortal kombats all require the -5v and diodes to be soldered into the jamma selector but does Killer Instinct or the multi boards require that too?  Just need to know if I need all 6 slots modified to have the -5v for sound and the diodes soldered in.  Any help? ???  confusing...

I came across this issue when i wanted to use KI1+2, UMK3, and a jpac for a mame pc all in one KI2 cab. There was a member called jimkirk who helped me out with a diagram to install 12v relays to both supply the games that need the -5v, and also cut the -5v to each slot when not using.

Ive been using this board for just over a year now with the above mentioned games installed with no issues whatsoever. Hope this helps.
