No all the cnc profile patterns are at a reduced price + shipping and handling. Shipping is not charged if local pickup. All shipped profile patterns come in 2 half pieces and are packed in bubble wrap shipped in a 40 x 5 x 45 box.

Can you make patterns based on this Slim MAME Cabinet-

The plans are based off TAZ's MAME cabinet which can be found here:

To build your own machine it will cost you some bucks. We believe our price for the patterns is reasonable. It's a small investment if your making more then one cabinet.

Here is a photo of the machine that is used to cut our patterns.

I cut these things from arcade accurate plans for people fairly often for a hell of a lot less than 150 bucks, but to each his own I suppose.

I sell complete ms pac man cabinets to locals for 100.

OK.. here's a few pix.

There's some things cut on my CNC for folks.  Difference being they are all arcade accurate from plans made by tearing down an original part to draw myself vs taking jakobud's plans.  Jakobuds plans while similar are miles away from arcade accurate.

I usually base my costs on materials cost plus a per hour rate on the cnc.  Cheap things like hardboard coast me about 14 bucks a sheet from my supplier and take less than 5 minutes on the CNC to rout a simple profile.  So, at a typical 100.00 per hour rate for the  CNC work that's 1.66 a minute of CNC cutting time so a silly little hardboard template is about 8.00 at my normal shop rate.  So, I add on say 15 bucks to cover an hour of labor to operate it, maybe 10.00 profit and you arrive at a retail price around 50.00 done.

A fully assembled cabinet, typically 200-300 perhaps more depending on the material used to build it and the complexity of the parts.  Mainly due to the labor needed to assemble.

Just food for thought I guess.. been doing this a long time now myself so it's experience talking.  My advice to you is if you're going to sell cabinets meant to replace originals you have some work to do.  Just taking jakobod's plans is not enough, they just arent' right unless you're selling mame cabs where similar but not accurate is ok.

IIRC prOk is in Florida?? I've never ordered a cabinet from prOk but I have ordered other items and his product has always been excellent.
http://gamestencils.com
Not taking away from the OP but considering how long prOk has been doing this sort of thing you just might want to take his advice. Yes it means lower profit margin and it'll take longer to pay for your machine but it could very well be the difference between making a little money verses none at all.

When I bought one from Mameroom, shipping was about $60, IIRC...

Our cabinets are identical and complete based on the originals cabinets and also the jakobud plans you can download. Both jakobud and the original is just about the same.

Were not making MAME cabinets I can tell you that. And nowhere on your website can I find the same product that MCA sells?? Can you point me to the cabinets that you sell assembled for $100 bucks? I don't see those either.

Dude, you challenged ME for pictures and info and I provided it, then when I ponied up you get all upset?  I also stated I make them for locals, never stated I build and ship them. I don't care what you sell really, I don't ship cabs either way so you're no competition to me any more than I am to you.  You seemed to need some advice on how to get things going right but apparently you don't want to hear it :)   I've been doing cabs for a LONG time now.

Not making mame cabs is fine, but don't portray what you are making right now as arcade accurate..

Relax man, don't melt down here too.  Starting a new venture is a learning process, you should take the advice of those with experience rather than challenge them.   I guess the choice is do you want to sell one a month at @150 or 50 at $70?

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT !!!!

No sooner do I post about people not learning their lesson than I discover that this seller has AGAIN stolen used other people's pictures to present as his own product.

You have to be kidding me.

First he stole Pacray's pictures and it appeared that he was presenting Pacray's restorations as his own work. Then he proceeded to offend most everybody on KLOV and COS with his responses.

Now, he appears to be using pictures of Mike's kits (which are either the same price or cheaper) and presenting those as what he is selling (there can be no mistake this time since his using them in his price list!).

What a piece of work!

MichiganMike's

AND he has the temerity to accuse folks here of deceptive dealing and scamming.

FYI this is one of those "insult your potential customers" sellers.

I've asked him to stop sending me private messages.

Wrong I was trying to help you and possibly make and ship to you a cocktail for around your price range. You were a rude idiot. Just another someone trying to get something for free.
