Know anything about slot machines?
« on: January 26, 2010, 03:59:36 pm »
I just picked this up yesterday and it didn't come with a manual. Anyone have any idea where I could get one for it? Everything is labeled in Japanese or Chinese. Makes it a little difficult to figure out what is what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

Can't help, sorry...but...

Where did you get this?  And is it a full/real machine?  Also, how much was it?

This would be wicked cool in a basement :).

Thank you.

I found it locally on Craigslist. It was $125. It's 32" tall and about 16" deep. It takes .984 tokens. It's pretty cool.

Encryptor, that indeed is a Skill Stop machine.  I had 3 at one time but I sold 2 about a year ago.  I picked my first one up at a local Superauction for $125.  Then 3 months later Superauction had about 100 machines for sale so I picked up 2 more for $40 each :)  Didn't like the belly artwork so I used Photoshop and did some custom images and then had Mamemarqueeprint my artwork and I sold the machines for $150 each :)  Fun to have.  Anyway...  I have a black & white generic Skill Shop operation manual I can copy for you and ship out if you'd like.  PM me and I'll help you out.  It talks about setting up the payouts, credits, odds and shows the inside for 43 different machines.  The pics are again in B&W and a little grainy but it does help out if you're wondering where things are including some volume controls.  My machine is way too loud but I cannot find the volume control to save my life. LOL.  Anyway, let me know.

Also, I found Ebay to be the cheapest for tokens :)

urbecrisch,

Thanks but I don't need it YET. Since I posted this thread I've managed to find a couple of generic type manuals. They may be able to help you as well. In the first link they are listed by manufacturer. The second link is sort of a generic manual but it tells you a lot about these machines. Thanks for the help.

Hey urbecrish...  a lot of those machines don't have volume controls installed.  I got one at superauctions, no volume control either.  I had to add one in.

These all reset the same way so you don't need a manual..

If E code is displayed on the front and your tokens just drop into the tray do this:

1. Plus Machine In
2. Open door and push the switch to the off position
3. Insert reset key and turn it all the way to the right
4. push the switch back to the on position
5. Depress the joystick for 2 secs on the front of machine right after you hit on switch
6. Turn reset key all the way back to the left pull out and shut the door

Your machine is now reset.

I have two of these for sale if anyone is interested and they fully work here are some images below:
