U360 Lubrication Issues
« on: January 22, 2010, 03:13:54 am »
Hey Guys,

I need a suggestion on what the best lubricant is for the U360 controllers. The stock lubricant was dry after about 2 weeks of playing. On one of them it got so bad it started grinding into the shaft. (There's now a nice ring of destruction deep enough that I can put my fingernail in around one of the shafts)

I took apart both of them about 2 weeks ago and lubed the crap out of every piece of the controller with a Teflon Silicone Lubricant...
http://www2.dupont.com/Consumer_Lubricants/en_US/products/silicone.html

However, the controllers are starting to get stiff and crunchy/grinding again.

What can I use that will keep these things lubed for a longer period of time than 2 weeks? This is eating the metal shafts big time if I let it go.

Thanks,

-K
