Wanted: Smoked Plexi: MD

Hey guys.  I've been doing some local searching, and I'm having trouble finding some smoked plexi.  A few local glass shops around me said they can order it but only in bulk.  I guess smoked plexi isn't that popular an item.  I'll continue search, but thought I'd post here to see if anyone in MD had an extra piece of smoked plexi or knew a good place where I could get some.

This is the place I got mine,  maybe they have one in your area?  I think I paid like $10 or something, they cut it to my spec for my cocktail cab.

I got a nice piece of smoked plex at a store called Menards. They have stores in the upper midwest (I have no clue where you live, sorry)

Shoot... Couldn't modify the post. Obviously the "MD" stands for Maryland and therefore you don't live anywhere near a Menards. Doh. Sorry.

McMaster-Carr carries smoked plexi and lexan, both are available in bronze and gray tints.  You'll find them under plastics, plexi is acrylic where lexan is polycarbonate.

I too am looking for it in MD.  So far i've only found 1 small hardware store that will special order.  For an arm and a leg of course.  I think our only viable option is a glass shop.  But it certainly won't be cheap there either.

All you Maryland'ers,
Check out Reeds Plactics in Wheaton Md. It might be listed under the Rockville area. They have a warehouse specializing in plastics, and the prices are very reasonable. Unfortunately, they are closed on weekends and only open until 4 on weekdays M-F.
Anybody in MD feel like hanging oiut, playing games/ going to Dave and Busters sometime?

I'm in Montgomery county, Rockville / Wheaton area to be exact, Wondermellon and I have hung out before. He's up in your area somewhere too. I was thinking about having a cookout in my backyard sometime soon, and then going up to D&B and playing House of the Dead 3. I've also got 2 Cabs here in the house,

u might always try a peice of clear and take it to a tint shop.. or tint it your self..

That might work, but only if you can put the tint on WITHOUT any bubbles...

I always seem to screwup tinting when I do it......

a tint shop would charge like 10 bucks to do it..

i had my vw bug tinted that way.. took out the glass.. took it up there.. had it tinted.. put it back in.. spent like 50 bucks on a tint job that i was quoted $170 for if they had done it in the car..
