I am building a jukebox and drew up the plans, assembled the computer and the layout, now I need some lights. It seems that LED's are the way to go and I saw the LED wiz + GP product at GGG. Can anyone tell me easily how easy it is to install and what it takes to setup some LED's for side graphics, for a marquee and for some light buttons? Two part question:
1. how many LED's can you fit on a line? I have 2 radiactive symbols cutout on the side and want to illuminate those, run the LED marquee light and light up some buttons.
I would guess that I could run a line, put a resistor in place according to the instruction manual based on the amount of draw, and then use hot glue to wire up the LED's so there is no short, right? Could I put 6 LED's on each side and still have enough juice for a marquee lamp and some buttons that GGG sells?
2. What gauge wire should I use to connect it all?
I am not really that knowledgable when it comes to working with electricity (which most likely comes across in this post), but I want to give it a shot and usually with the help of this board, things come together... Thanks in advance.
