Why does the front page keep prompting me to install Quicktime?

I've seen that before, but don't know why. There is nothing on the front page that requires Quicktime. When it's cropped up before it's been something on that individual computer (file associations hijacked, some sort of browser add on doing something goofy, one of those tool bars installed doing something goofy, etc).

Is anyone else getting that?

Must be something like what you said Saint. When I went to the homepage (havent been there in years...) and looked at what page source I could get, didnt see any QT stuff, also, task manager isn't showing QT loaded when visiting the homepage.

OP, I would suggest trying it with a different browser first and also check your file associations. Also, run your browser in "safe mode" (firefox has this mode, accessible in the program menu under mozillafirefox/firefox(safemode) and see if it still comes up. What browser are you using?
