So I'm in the early stages of research and planning my cab build. I've done a few jukes in the past, but this will be my first cab and I'm having a great time designing it (thanks to Sketchup and Inkscape). I'm in no rush and am slowly collecting bits and pieces (and ideas) as I find them. I've read Saint's book and perused these forums extensively, but I'm finding there are many things I'm not sure about and I'm hoping you guys can clarify. Apologies in advance for any stupid questions, but as they say, the devil's in the details.

Anyway, I just bought one of
these pedal setups which have two 5k pots. I was going to swap the pots for 100k and do a gamepad hack on them (or just get a few switches and make them digital) when I stumbled across the
A-Pac version one. Would it be possible to hook these directly to it without swapping the pots out? I'm hoping to pair them up with a 270 wheel (if I can find one, or I may have a go at making my own), but I also want to hook up digital joysticks and button sets for two players. Can I do all this with one a-pac? What if the wheel uses 100k pots - would I have to match them up to the pedals?
Oh, and any tips for the best way to clean the pedals up?
So I've saved the dumbest question for last, but I'm going to ask it anyway. Can
arcade locks like these be used directly in a cabinet, or are they built to interface with coin doors only?
