for the wii, looks exciting (",)

"The development team sought to include the characters of Phoenix Wright and Franziska von Karma from the Ace Attorney series; while the latter would have been easy due to her use of a whip, they had struggled to find appropriate fighting moves for Phoenix beyond his finger-pointing gesture. Though they had come up with an attack that used his catch-phrase "Igiari!" ("Objection!" in English)" :duckhunt

I really enjoyed the first
Japanese only game.
Although that last boss
in it's three forms is tough
for me to beat.
Looking forward to buying
this when it comes out.

There's word that Mad Catz will be doing an arcade stick for this, based on their STIV sticks.  (Not the TE models).  At ComiCon Mad Catz had a mockup available even.  This could mean good arcade sticks for Wii, granted they'd really only be useful for Virtual Console games mostly.  And... Maybe brawl?

Man I'd love to see the faces on people if they had to play Brawl with arcade sticks. :)

Really looking forward to this too.  I recently put a Wii in one of cabs and this game would be the perfect addition.

Smash Brothers doesn't work so well for me.  It really plays better with analog movement.

Only it looks like it's going to connect to the wiimote, like the classic controller. I'd prefer a gamecube plug, but this is still going to be great (",)

Hori's Japan only EX2 based Wii arcade stick works that way too, I think it's so they can ensure the stick is wireless.

I am a little bummed
about the new music.
I really enjoyed the
character specific themes
of the original Japanese game.
The game loses some of it's punch
without it, well for me at least.

I dont like multiple super cancel. what 2 supers in a row isnt enough? you can keep linking supers until you are out. thats.....dumb. Id still play though. controls is little better than the original jap version.

wonder if it'll come out on any other platform?

I kinda hope not. Would be nice for the Wii to have some good exclusives...

I hope it does, or at least gets some DLC the character line up is so....weak. ALso, this game is much better when using the classic controller. It does crack meup that a 3 hit combo does 2.76 BILLION damage, lol

Finally tried this yesterday. Though I'm not a huge fan of the over the top supers in the VS series, I still had fun (and used said supers to my advantage, especially against that boss!). I played using the classic controller, and definitely missed using an arcade stick.

I've been having lots of fun with this.  My six-year-old daughter even loves it.  I'm playing it on my control panel (minipac hooked up to Ultimarc's Wii adapters) and the arcade controls really make a difference.
