ZX Spectrum emulator
« on: December 18, 2009, 05:21:05 pm »
I know our UK friends know this computer well and perhaps can tell me which is the best ZX Spectrum emulator that also allows for easy key definition so I can use it with my cp. I've got spectaculator v7.01 and I can't seem to find where I could define my own keys, so they would pretend to be Kempston joystick.

Have you contacted the programmes author? I emailed him about something and he was very helpful. I thought Spectaculator has Kempston compatibility built in.

Yes it does have kempston emulation but it's assigned to certain keys. I would like to be able to remap to whatever I'd like. I think it's cursor keys + something else for fire, while of course my joystick's fire is assigned to ctrl.
And, no I didn't try to contact the author.

On a side note how did you find this post, it's 2 months old!

I found it whilst I was looking for an answer to my question about preserving my arcade machine in damp conditions, Im new here so was browsing.

If you contact the author he is very helpful. did you have to pay for your copy? I think they started charging after a certain version. I have a copy of that programme but its not Vista compatible, so quite old. Have a word with him, Im sure he'll sort it for you.
