mame 0.134 high score save?
« on: December 08, 2009, 03:47:56 pm »
hi, ive been trolling around the forums and cant seem to find a post that will explain what i have to do 100%.  Im not that great at computers but i seem to some how get the job done... most of the times.  Well im just starting to mess around with mame version 0.134 (havnt upgraded yet to 0.135) and i noticed that none of my high scores get saved.  I know they get reset because everytime you start mame up its like starting it for the first time.  I also know you need some sort of hiscore.dat file to save and i know some games like pacman need there own dat file to be saved.

WHAT I NEED HELP WITH:

Where do i get those files?  im looking for a trusted website.

Where do i put the files on my computer?

and...

How do i get my all time fav. game to save its score (i ask because its an older one that might need its own file)
GALAGA!!!

please feel free to e-mail me at.

its faster.  BUT a reply here is great too!
thank you

You need to download the hiscore.dat file and place it in you mame main directory, then make sure you have a hi folder in your mame directory also. then most of the games withh save hi-scores. Ill link to the file for you also.
