Juke Kit
« on: December 06, 2009, 04:56:35 pm »
Hey Guys,

I'm looking to do a wall mounted juke, but I'm not the best wood worker. I was wondering if there are any kits out there for wall mounted jukes? I'm not looking for the internals but more or less the wood working side of it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

As much as I like that one, I really was looking for one that didn't have any buttons. I was looking to make a touch screen juke. Thanks anyway

You could use one of Mountains kits and wall mount it.

How about mounting a screen in a picture frame and hiding the wires, That's how I made my first one
but I made a stand alone one now

For your touch screen juke, are you trying to flush mount it?  Do you need speakers in it, or will it be wired to a receiver?  Are you pre-construction?

If you are pre-construction and you are looking to flush mount, all you'd really need is a nice frame as mentioned by Gremlin73.

If you're really just looking for the shell/casing right and you like the one wp34 linked to, but minus the buttons, I'm sure you could get the kit minus the pre-cut holes for buttons.

Give some more details and requirements and you'll zero in on some good answers out here!

I used the mameroom design with a 15" elo touchscreen. If you don't want buttons, just order the kit and ask Scott at Mameroom to give you that piece without the button holes cut in. I just kept the buttons for the look, but they're not hooked up. The touchscreen is all I use.

if you have a carpenter freind hed rip something up in half an hour for a carton , a wall mount is a pretty simple project and wouldnt cost much to have someone do it for you
