Monitor Glass

I am thinking about making a new monitor glass for the Stargate project, and was wondering is anyone making reproductions?
I dont want to use acrylic or polycarbonate, i would prefer to use real glass. One of my customers is a silkscreen supplier and he suggested i just set up and make it myself. Of course this would be good for him because i would be giving him money instead of the other way around.  :laugh2:
However, if there is a market out there, I would consider it.
Any thoughts, comments, etc would be greatly appreciated. And Saint, if I should have posted this elsewhere, please move it or let me know and I will re-post it in the correct place.
