Audio for a MAME cab
« on: December 03, 2009, 10:14:29 am »
Hey folks,
I really like the idea of using PC audio gear for my MAME cab since it’s very easy to purchase and install. However, I really like the look of car audio speakers. Can one use 2 car audio speakers as replacement for the 2 speakers that come with a 2.1 PC audio system? Would the speakers not be under driven as far as power is concerned?

So my list of wants is this. I would like something that plugs into a 1/8” plug on the audio card. I want 2 speakers right under the marquee of course. I also want a subwoofer in the cabinet.

Can you offer any suggestions?

Thanks
Steph
