MonoTekETeA: Enjoy! I expect to see pictures of your project!

EDIT: All right, folks.  I'm tired of playing around with this - I want this out of my place and into a good home...

COME GET IT AND IT'S YOURS: one 31" (diagonal measurement) Gateway Destination VGA Monitor. VGA and power cables included.

Here's a link for EXAMPLE pictures of the monitor, fourth item from the top (NOTE: This is NOT my website): http://www.thewilsonclan.com/Forsale/

And here is the actual monitor as seen in my cab Quarter Heaven: http://quarterheaven.livejournal.com/

The monitor is working, in good condition, and still encased (it sat in a 2x4 frame on a shelf inside the cab.) 640x480 is the base resolution for this monitor.  You *can* force it up to 800x600, but I had mixed results attempting that.  I'm selling due to an impending move into a smaller apartment in NYC.  This needs to go to an arcade-friendly home!

Things you need to know:
1. EDIT: It's available for pickup now; weekday evenings by appointment, or anytime by appointment on the weekends.  PM me.  First come first serve.

2. THIS MONITOR IS HEAVY (~130 lbs.) and you will need to bring someone with you to help you carry it down 1 flight of stairs.  I repeat, THIS MONITOR IS HEAVY.  Do not attempt to move this alone!  Due to a hand injury I cannot help you move it!

3. In line with #2, you will need a large-ish vehicle to move this.  I have a  4-door Oldsmobile Intrigue that it BARELY fit the back seat of.  A station wagon, minivan or pickup would probably be ideal.

Let me know if you are interested or have any questions!

The over/under coin-door previously mentioned in this post is no longer for sale. I'm keeping it.

Is the mame-cabinet for sale, too?  Or just the monitor?

Sorry, just the monitor (and the coin door).  This evening I ended up with more time than I expected, so the cab itself is already about 80% dismantled.  I have truly shed a tear in its honor.  :'( It was a great project (scratch-built/designed! I'm still proud of that!) and I'll miss it, but there are some great times ahead for us all...

That said, the monitor is now available as early as tomorrow evening (November 31st, 2009).

Dude, I would've saved that cab. Or sold it all together.

Eh, the cab looked great on the outside, but it wasn't exactly travel-worthy.  Besides, I still have the design Sketchup files, I can always build it again (and improve on it... my woodworking skills have significantly improved since then.)

It's not like I cannibalized an original Star Wars cockpit or something. It's just wood and paint and t-molding.

Somebody really needs to take this monitor, though. It's the most important part of a cab.  ;D

Malenko, I was wondering if I was going to see you in here!  :)  Are you in the general area?

I'm at work so... From Gateway's website: 31.375 W × 27.875 H × 22.25 D in.

That jibes with what I would've postulated.  My cab interior width was 32", and it was a tight fit.

EDIT: Just for the record, the website also lists the weight as 138 lbs.  That's no joke.

Yeah, that really is a shame -- I remember your comments from my project thread and elsewhere, I figured you might be interested when I decided to let it go.

C'mon man... fighters look reaaaaaally kickass on this screen... I know how much you love the fighters...  :laugh2:
