***Solved*** Help with Hantarex MTC 900 alignment issue
« on: November 27, 2009, 09:03:58 pm »
After searching through previous posts, I understand this is a problem monitor. But this Ghost and Gobblins cabinet is in great shape and the colors are good on the monitor. But...

The top of the game is in the middle of the screen.  I have replaced the vertical pot and it now moves about 2", but now enough.  Any suggestions?

Also, some of the graphics are squiggly. Not all of them, but most of the words are like that. Is this a ground issue or a cap issue?  It looks like a cap kit has been installed in this monitor previously.

Thanks,
R

Thanks G. This is a perfect example of why the wife should not be used as a mirror :blah:. As I was adjusting things, she would only say "Thats better" but could not tell me that the roll was slowing then reversing as I turned the knob.  Gotta love her.  Turned out to be the vertical hold/phase.  The roll just happened to phase overlap at the point where the screen was split. That also explaind the "dancing words" on the screen.

Now on to the next project and post....
