anyone in the canton/akron area?
« on: November 21, 2009, 12:16:47 am »
I bought a mame arcade machine last year.
when i got it, it was not booting up.
I disabled the antivirus protection in BIOS, and it loaded up arcadeos.
At this point I was able to play the machine but the sound was not working and the screen flickers(arcade monitor hooked up to arcade vga card.) in almost 99% of the games.

I tried to get the sound working in DOS( I know very little about DOS)and I F :censored:ed up the machine.
Now when i power it up it boots only into a command prompt.
if i type in autoexec.bat, i get the message "bad command or file name." this= EPIC FAIL. :banghead:

The other thing is, I was never able to get into windows at all.
it was all in DOS.

the pc has an OS of windows 98, but i could never get into it. like it is missing?
i tried C:\> win and i get bad command or file name!

I am in north canton ohio, if anyone is close to my area and would like to give it a go...
