Hello fellow gamers and modders. I'm here hoping someone can help me or lead me in the right dirrection as I'm at the point of giving up on my project. I'm trying to get my UltraStik 360 joystick to work on my padhack of a madcatz 360 fightpad. I did the padhack right and made the sources to power the U360 which is 5V and a ground with barrier strips that are routed from the power source from the fightpad specs. I even made a barrier strip so I can hook up the colored wires that are to be the Up,Down,Left, and Right. I could of wired the wires Directly to the solder points on pad but I wanted to be able to extend the wires if I need to. I've tested the padhack with push buttons and wires and everything from the pad works.

The U360 works on through it's own USB hook-up and I own a I-Pac VE and I wired up the U360 through the I-Pac and it works off PC. I can't get this joystick to act as a switch type joystick as it says it can be used as one with the 9-10 pin harness that I purchased with it. On the site it gives you the layout of the wires. I'm having no luck so I thought to ask the professionals here. I contacted Andy about this and still no luck. Andy mentioned to check the power-source on the fightpad but everything is fine on the pad and also the power-source is produces from pad. The fightpad runs off a USB and from another site that provided specs they showed where the 5V is and the ground and like I said I wired it and routed the source to it's own strips so all I do is hook the wires to it's source. I have provided pics of the layout I have sofar of the fightpad. What I would need if it's possible is how to wire a U360 to the dirrections of the fightpad for it to work? I know I can not use any programed maps this way. Though I can hook the U360 to the PC through the USB to change maps and unhook it once set then back to Xbox 360 though it's on cable.

I hope there is a solution or I would just have to use this joystick for the PC for MAME as I was gonna use it as a universal joystick as there are drivers for the fightpad to use on Windows. I have the casing made up from a Pelican Real Arcade Joystick. Push buttons and all and I'm just stuck with this stick problem. So thanks for any help, suggestions, or advice guys. I hope I posted enough info to help you guys help me? Thanks

why use a $60 stick when for that application you could use a $20 JLW (essentially the same stick minus the PCB)?

The U360 is good for Mame and PC because you can use the maps and use different modes, but you can't do that through a controller hack.

If you still want to do it my understanding is that you must first hook it up to a PC (Via usb) and set the mode you want I assume 8-way (for SFIV)
then you can unplug it and use the wiring harness
if that doesn't work E-mail Andy at Ultimarc

Yes I know it is too much of a joystick. Though I was going to use it as a universial joystick for PC and Xbox 360 since the fightpad is detectable on WindowsXP,Vista, and Windows 7. I had already programmed the Map to joystick through PC UBS hook-up. I had made the casing to hold both the fightpad cable and the option for the U360 usb cable to update it on Pc if I had to. I mainly wanted to use this joystick for it's quiet feature as I don't like the clicking noise of most sticks. I wanted an advance joystick where I can use on just about everything. From what I read from here and other places the U360 is the way to go. Though I have not seen many people Mod this on a padhack only the P360 has been modded for a padhack. I was hoping I can do the same with this joystick.
