Crappy games we love :)
« on: November 06, 2009, 06:04:52 pm »
Thought it would be fun to do crappy games we like vs the ones we want to like but hate.

My lastest crappy game I like is "Journey"
I don't know what it is but I play it all the time.

Well, the music's great in that game (think of how different it would be if it didn't play all those songs!).

I agree though- Journey seems simple, but it's challenging in a lot of areas.  And after you're out of lives, you can sing "DON'T STOP BELIEEEEEEVIN'!"   :applaud:

Journey is awesome. I don't know why I love that game, but I do. I was also big on the 2600 game (nothing like the arcade).

Crazy Kong.  It's soooo much worse than Donkey Kong yet I really loved playing it back in the day and still do... totally ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- "sound/music" and all...

I absolutely love Radar Scope. I play it most days... but Donkey Kong really does nothing for me anymore, it bores the hell out of me.

Probably a good thing I fall into the 'Mame cabinet built from scratch' group on here, rather than an arcade restorer. I can't imagine converting a Mint DK cab to Radar Scope would be too popular  ;)

I don't think Journey is crappy at all. The only problem with it has to do with controls. In certain cases, it acts like an 8-way, others a 4-way, or some weird-ass kind of limited 8-way, restricting your movement in.
