Mame™ was just an entry drug for me
« on: October 26, 2009, 03:08:29 pm »
I just bought my first pin!-- The Simpson's Pinball Party.

Yay!

A real pin blows pin emulators out of the water. But I still would like to pick up that virtual pinball machine someday for the heck of it.

Anyway-- here are some peeks into my new home game room. Many more photos to come soon.
Seriously. Will it fit in my basement or what?

Thats one hell of a first pin man....geez....

I love that machine.  I've probably only played about 30 games on it but its quite fun.  $3K+ for a pinball machine is too steep for me right now though.

Congrats.

Oh and more game room pics please.  Actually, there are a couple gameroom threads going - you should add pics to those threads to breath some new life in them.  And browse through the already posted pics yourself, there are nice gamerooms out there.

Much better than killing you for getting one. Congrats on that.

Very nice indeed.  That and Medevil Madness are the top of my wish list.
Thanks for sharing it with us.

I don't know why people are apeshit for Medevil Madness. I've played it and while it's okay, it ain't phenomenal by any means.

I disagree but I respect your candor. Its a very easy pin to play on, lots of targets, lots of modes, and hilarious voice work. Its also very colorful and has some pretty sweet mechanical features (draw bridge, gate, crumbling castle) and the video screen is used well with the mini games/modes.

Ive only played the real machine a few times but Ive played the ever loving crap out of it on the Pinball Hall Of Fame on my 360.  I guess I can sum it up and say even crappy pinball players can have fun on the table.

HM. I've mostly played an old table in VP, but I think once or twice at an arcade. 'Cept it was so damn loud cos o the anime machines, you couldn't hear nothin, really. I'm big on symmetry in the playfield design, and it kinda lacks. So do Adams Family and TZ, but mostly make up for it in other ways.
