I'm wondering if they support the original refresh rates of the original games for the video signal.

Due to the cost cutting in the multi boards (PCs) I would make a guess that the video card is of the basic on board variety and not good at handling custom rates so probably just CGA standard 15 Khz with no custom video resolutions for various games.
