Saint has an obligation to protect any "real"* member from harassment and suffering.

*Real means any long term member, who is a part of this community.

IMHO Tigger got picked on too much for something he did years ago, and Saint blocked the thread as per Tigger's request.

That is just my opinion tho. Dunno the real reason.

It was because of the "discussion" of a particular word that one person found offensive. After that started, it went down hill very quickly.

I'll get my shot in before this thread goes to PH too:

That thread turned into a sausage fest about how wonderful a concept was by a particular member. As far as I know, it was never completed hence it wasn't successful. When asked for pictures, like with certain other projects, the question is met with hostility and lack of courtesy. Most concepts are great in theory (time travel, cold fusion, lone gunman theory etc) but until it can be proven and duplicated, it's just a wild hair up somebody's ass.

The thread was posthelled because someone posted a rude picture directed towards a member here. No one requested the post helling.

I didn't get that from what I read, but then I never thought the project in question was a bad idea - in fact if executed correctly, was a decent idea - just a decent extension of the PAC-MAMEA idea.

Anyway, to hell with the thread.

Good point. I was thinking more along the lines of keeping the site Respectable, Safe, and Liability Free. I basically imagined it as a self imposed obligation as Saint seems to have followed this basic line in the general forums.

He IS one of those weird "adult" type people I keep hearing about, but rarely ever see...

Don't take offense ... I'm pretty sure that the term "adult" has yet to be applied when referring to you ... except maybe for that video you keep threatening to post.

Now, now. I ain't said nothin about that in months. As for the rest: I mean 'adult' to denote someone of a certain kind of capability, and 'grown-up' as someone internally (and perhaps culturally) restricted. In cases, I qualify for the former. I am definitely not the latter.
