Need help with MAME32 ROMS
« on: October 13, 2009, 09:59:57 pm »
I have download the MAME32 version 0.103 after my system crashed over the summer.  Now I can't for the life of me remember how to get the games working.  They are all listed but missing files.  I assume I need to download the ROMS for each but after 2 hours of searching online I can't find what I need or how to download them so the list in MAME32 has all the games available like I used to have.  I want to get these old classics working for my 6 year old son but am at a loss.  Please help us!!!!

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

So.....what are you asking? If you're asking what I think you're asking, then I suggest you read the rules.

you need to search for a tool called clrmamepro. It is a rom auditor. It will tell you what you need and/or fix them for you. As for the obvious implied question, im sorry but we cannot and will not give rom links, and you cannot ask where to get them or post links to them. This is outside the parameters of the site.

The website for clrmamepro appears to be down.  Anybody know if this is a permanent thing or just temporary?

Roms and rom names must match that particular version of mames database (or whatever its called).

Either find roms for that version of mame or get a version of mame for the roms that you do have.
