I got a Jaleco Pony IV candy cab yesterday for cheap and although everything works fine, the marquee light doesn't work. There is some sort of black thing underneath the bulb that screws out. What is this thing and does it need to be replaced? Do you think the bulb itself needs to be replaced and what kind of bulb would I need?

Finally, where would I be able to get keys for this cabinet? Mine didn't come with keys, and I don't know where to find replacements. I really need them for the locks underneath the control panel.

If this is a picture of the item you are talking about it is a starter for the fluorescent lamp

Easiest way to get your cab re keyed on the same locks would be to replace the locks.

I have included a pic of what that thing under the marquee light bulb looks like. Does this need to be replaced and/or the bulb too?

How would I remove the locks on my cab if I have no key? Are there keys available for these locks somewhere ?

Don't know if keys are available but locks can usually be turned with a screwdriver in the key slot and a bit of force.

a screwdriver isn't going to help because the key hole is round, not flat
