BYOAC general high score board
« on: October 04, 2009, 07:07:34 am »
I'm starting this cos. So, the board will be any game anyone mentions. That score will stand until someone else posts a higher score on said game. Post a snap, of course, though I guess it can be from any time you've ever played MAME. Some games with, arguably, more accurate emulation in later versions of MAME will have precedence. To keep the thread from getting unmanageable, I request that discussion be kept to posts with scores being presented.

GAME                                SCORE                            PLAYER

Time Pilot                          300,600                             Ummon

Pole Position                        60,060 (231"50 - 4laps)      Ummon

Gyruss                              393,900                             Ummon

Do Run Run!                       179,180                             Ummon

Bubbles                             248,630                             Ummon

I'll start the first two, cos I got 'em handy as well as recently.

Notes on Pole Position: around .69 you could actually get the pole position on qual. Then it was broken for a while. Some time after they added the emulation of sounds (post-video re-write), this was possible again, but as of a couple/few cycles ago it was broke again. Two nights ago I went back to .69 and got the above score. Also, the dips were: C C   4 laps .

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Why didn't you just use this thread you already made back in March?

Cos I totally forgot about it. Too late now. I guess I could mine that one, though.

Anyways, come an post yer scores for any games, folks. (Don maek ma look foolish poostin ma oon scoos, eh? And I know some of you can do much better.)

Images of real games count, too....though I'm wondering about precedence only because most people don't have easy access to them....I guess they'll rank with MAME that has the most accurate emulation.
