I'm going through the exact same thing right now. I have a Golden Tee 99 cabinet (original dedicated) in excellent condition. It makes my existing MAME cab look like crap.

I've been seriously considering giving it the MAME treatment, and this thread probably just pushed me over the edge. This cabinet is ridiculously easy to work on. My only issue: the monitor is a U5000, which is pretty much considered to be garbage. I have a 25" WG monitor in my existing MAME cab which I'm considering swapping. It is definitely an older monitor (believe it's in the 7200 line), but I worry about future problems with the U5000.
Ginsu Victim, would you happen to have any pictures of the control panel that you did? Did you reuse the existing top, or did you cut a new piece of wood? I'm sure that speedklz wouldn't mind seeing this, as well. And just to prove I'm not trying to thread hijack, MAME that sucker.
