Best source for CD100J parts?
« on: September 25, 2009, 11:09:38 pm »
I just picked up a nice CD100J (Rowe Saturn 2) today.  It works 100% and sounds great, but there are a few cosmetic items that I want to fix.

1. The back-lit glass panel that says "Saturn 2" has some peeling of the artwork and you can see the light coming through in a few places.  It's not too bad, but I would like to replace this with a new panel or new artwork if possible.

2. The two animated CD's that move back and forth in the top area of the Juke are not moving.  I took a closer look and the black gear that creates the movement is turning as it should, but there's nothing connecting the two posts holding the CD's to the gear itself.  I assume some type or rod or spring is suppose to be connected from the base of the posts to the gear itself and the movement of the gear causes the CD's to move back and forth.  Is there a special part needed here or can I pick up a simple spring and fix the issue.

3. The color of the fiberglass case is a green metallic and I may want to repaint it to a metallic dark gray.  Any tips on repainting these or is it not worth it?  It actually looks like it's been repainted before.

Any tips on where I can find these parts or tips on the best way to fix these issues will be greatly appreciated.    This my first Juke, so I'm eager to learn as much as I can :)

thanks

Hi,

I would try www.suzohapp.com, www.victoryglass.com or www.jukeboxparts.com

Get the part numbers of the parts you need from the manual that's enclosed with your jukebox. You can order those parts from any authorized Rowe jukebox distributor's parts department. Here you can find a distributor near you:
