Replace coin reject button with an illuminated one? Also UK source
« on: September 24, 2009, 09:38:12 am »
Hi guys,

Quick coindoor question.

Would it be possible to integrate this kind of coin reject button - http://www.centsibleamusements.com/ProductImages/COINREJ.jpg - into this kind of coin door/mech - http://www.highway.net.au/products/images/coin_mechanism_face_0_4845_1.jpg - or would it get really messy? The former type is the one I remember from my misspent youth but the latter is the one on the coin door of my cab. If it's fairly doable, how do I go about setting up the illumination please? And do any of you know where in the UK I could source the parts from please?

TIA all

I don't think it's possible, or at least worth the effort to do it...

I know what you mean about the looks though. Most of the UK machines I used to play had those type of coin doors. The one you have seemed to be mainly on fruit machines.

Kind of suspected it would be a messy undertaking. Thanks guys.

So I guess I would need (if I were to pursue this) to rip out the coin door completely and replace with one that could take that button (assuming it would work with the mech I have)? Probably not the most cost-effective area of the project eh? Nah I'll leave it.

Thanks again for your input fellas
