I was told, that windows would not let both mice move the cursor, but once you load mame, you get twin Trackball control???
Which is correct? I don't want to waste a day trying to get both trackballs moving the cursor if it is not going to work...
The others are right.
In windows, all mice should move the cursor if they are to work in windows MameAnalog+. If it doesn't work in windows, it will not work in Analog+, either; Analog+ uses a win9x feature in directX 7 and up, that looks for all working USB mice in addition to the normal cursor (system) mouse in windows.
Once you get both trackballs controlling the cursor, delete the cfg/*.ana file, and try running analog+ again.
I think the "not working to get working" comes from the old dos mame. If you used serial optipac and DOS mame, then the second trackball should not work on bootup to windows, so don't worry about this.
