Like the title says, I only have a handful of the chd's since it seemed pointless to get them all. Is there any easy way to removed the roms from the main list whose CHD I dont have? I assume it must be flagged somewhere saying chd required for rom?

To me, it makes more sense to build a list for your cabinet that contains games that your machine is capable of playing, based off your available controls, rather than have the entire MAME collection in a list.
Hence, romlister was brought forth into the world:

To make sure no CHD's show up in your lists that you generate with RL, add a:
& !'disk name='
to the end of the text in the -find window at the bottom of the GUI.

Ya actually that would work. then I can just manually add the few roms back for the chd's I do have.
