Relaunching my little Jakobud.com site today. I'm going to be slowly working on getting new cabinet plans added along with a host of other improvements.

I'm sure there are enough new people here that don't even recognize my name, but I thought I'd poke my head in here let you all know since I know there are still some old time BYOACers around

PS - My bandwidth has gone through the roof on my site so I've had to throw up some basic Google ads on there. I tried to color them to blend in so they wouldn't be invasive. But feel free to click em every now and then if you want to help me out (turning off AdBlock Plus helps too

awesome website man, hope to see people add to it having a website with a lot of different cab measurements woudl be a real resource.

anyway clicked on one of your ad's, only 49 clicks away from a nickel!

although it would probably help if they was a bit more targeted..

for some reason google thinks i should be checking to health insurance.. maybe they know something i dont

Lol that is weird. I'll look into why they are showing health insurance ads. They always show arcade stuff for me.

I got 3 game or arcade related ads, so either its fixed or it varies.

I've noticed with my own sites that keywords in the URL are a big influence. Maybe they see "plan" and relate it to the currnet US hot topic of "health care plan".

PS: I would add a PayPal Donate button too. Free sites deserve to at least cover their operating costs.

Ya I'll figure out how to make sure its targeted a little better. But I know that Google doesn't 100% guarantee what you are gonna get it what you want I guess. Oh well.

On a more arcade related note, I am in the mood to really start drafting and hosting more plans on the website. If anyone is reading this and owns or has access to a cool classic arcade cabinet and would willing to take the time to give me some dimensions, just shoot me an email. Thanks guys!

You definitely need some cabaret plans on there. Particularly the Midway style used for Omega Race and Ms Pacman, and Williams style used for Robotron.

I took at look at your plans and was pleasantly surprised to see the 6 player version of X-men on there. Nice! This will help me greatly (I'm designing a reproduction CPO for it since they no longer make it). One of my headaches was trying to measure where all the buttons were. But the plans have it!

Thanks for the update on your site. I have referenced it many times in the past.

I have a longshot request. If you or anyone on this site comes across a CliffHanger cabinet please get the dimensions. I'm even willing to pay a decent price for a set of plans. One of may favorite games thats next to impossible to find and no one wants to give up the dimensions when you do find someone that has one. Even tried to buy an original one a a year ago and got outbid at $2200. Oh well.

Ya that is a pretty random cabinet to have on that list huh? I'm pretty sure I remember measuring that one personally at the Super Bear Arcade in Big Bear CA. On a side note if any of you ever get the chance to visit that arcade, do not pass it up. Tons of classics in a place you'd never expect it.

And Ill see what I can do about a Cliffhanger.

I think you need to look at a cab and get the measurements from there.

I tried building two cabinets from your designs and gave up.

From what I have heard from several people, is that the whole thing is way off.

I would get a better source from the DLP.

Nice, I can't wait to see what cabs you add next. I personally have 2 arcades in my house built from your plans (Donkey Kong and a Joust, using the moon patrol plans for the joust), so I love your site and your willingness to share. I have also helped make 5 other cabinets for family and friends based off of your plans, and I have also used your plans to make a few mini cabinets on our CNC machine. Keep it up!
