Cookie Thing?
« on: July 13, 2003, 09:23:03 pm »
Is the reason I'm getting this red X an "allowing cookies" thing? I've got it set to the lowest level possible. What the heck else am I forgetting?

It could mean 1 of a couple things. First, the path to an image may be incorrect. Second, the site the image is on may not allow external linking. Either way, it's an image that won't come up and shouldn't have anything to do with cookies. You probably can't do much about it, either.

By the way I meant the privacy settings when I said "set at the lowest level.

Well that sucks, I get this all the time in the forum. I bet I miss out on half of the links!

It's not uncommon. Lots of users have web accounts with companies that only provide limited bandwidth. This means that we ALL miss alot of the links when it comes to personal projects.

Also, some sites don't allow links to internal files, such as images, from outside sites.  These sites often also have the limited bandwidth, too.  Lucky, most people here don't have sites like that, or if they do, they tell you to type in the html address in a new window instead of trying to directly link the image.
