V-Hold Disaster
« on: September 06, 2009, 10:55:52 am »
Is there anyway I can get my monitor to stop scrolling every time it changes resolutions? I think my pots are shot because its so indescribably difficult to get it to stop scrolling, once I do that, if I nudge the arcade the slightest bit it starts slowly creeping again. I can't stand it, is there a fix? It also does it once it changes resolutions, so if I want to play a game, then switch to a different game it's going haywire again. I have an ArcadeVGA, the newest version, and J-Pac.

This sounds like no V Sync is getting through at all to the monitor. Are both sync LEDs lit on the J-PAC?

Hello sir, yes they are. Both of them are lit constantly if the j-pac is plugged into the pc via ps/2. I think the cable connecting is shot, I sent an email saying it passed the keyboard check on boot, but it doesn't. Maybe just the power is going through and nothing else because it doesn't respond to any key presses, but the leds light only if its plugged in. Is v-sync a setting in a mame ini I can adjust or is it a arcadevga/j-pac issue? I compiled mame 0133u4 last night and I am using that. I'll swap ps?2 and vga cables to see if that's the issue, I wish I could see the bios screens on boot but my mobo won't let it pass through pci-e I don't think.
