CPS2 repair in the US of A ?
« on: September 02, 2009, 02:04:07 pm »
Is there anyone that can do the Phoenix mod on a CPS2 in North America ? I have read the guy in Europe (Norway ?) is good, but I'm kind of leary of sending it over seas, and I've got no clue on the S&H cost.

As far as I know, that guy is the only one who has the ROMs (programming), so he's the only source.  If I remember correctly, you can remove the chips and send to him, to save on shipping.

There are a few guys in the US who are willing to do it for you, but they stay off the radar of major sites because it's against the forum rules to advertise such services.

Stevetren at forums.shoryuken.com can probably help you out.

Cool I'll try forums.shoryuken.com first.
I didn't even think about it being against forums rules, I suppose technically it's not a legal rom, but since you own the original...... Eh- the guys that dreamed up the self destruct feature should be shot !!
