DONKEY KONG PCB HELP!!
« on: August 31, 2009, 07:20:14 pm »
I'm converting a DK3 machine back over to regular DK.
I ordered a tested DK board on ebay. Well it must have been damaged during shipping! UHG!!

Anyway
Here are a couple pics. I'm really hoping that someone out there has seen a DK PCB do this before and can point me in the right direction. The picture on the monitor is NOT as blurry as these pictures make it seem. That is my crappy camera. The main thing is the left side of the picture trails off the bottom of the screen? Also the picture is generally jittery. Almost like you can't quite adjust the monitor. Anyone know where to start? I gave the boards a quick visual inspection, that revealed nothing.

As you can see, the DK3 works just fine.....

Bump!
No one?!! Well the guy said he'd take it back and repair it free of charge, but the stupid thing has me curious now! Anyone seen this on a 2 board DK before?!?!

Can you start a game ? Does it "seem" to play ?

It looks like me that this is a serious monitor issue (deflection) , not a board issue. Did you try to run another game board with this monitor ? Did you try the DK board on another monitor ?

Have you tried the Sync Pots on the DK PCB?

Fairly common for those to break or people forget to use them.
