well from what i could see of it (nice gym equipment btw), i'd mame both of them.. the cocktail looks like maybe a pacman? but if thats the case it's been modded already since the controls are moved, dont think it's in original enough form to bother restoring but im sure some pac nut will come along and cry restoration.

as far as that tekken goes i dunno about the cab, looks ike a dynamo.. no tekken cab i've ever seen so it's a conversion is my bet, it has no special side art either, just conversion style square art.

so ya i dont think the world is gonna lose anything if you mame them and unless you got a lot of room it's hard to justify dedicated games in most cases.

Anyone got change for a dollar?
PLEASE HELP NEED Fastmame .70 and .9* releases

I'm keeping my cocktail dedicated, I like it :P

Dedicated what? That doesn't look like any dedicated cocktail machine I've ever seen. In fact, it looks like a Bally Midway (e.g., [Ms.] Pac-Man, Galaga) cocktail that someone has hung a control panel from the side of.

I'd guess that your upright is a generic cabinet, so MAMEing it isn't a big deal.

Well dedicated as in with a real pcb and not a mame computer.

For future reference, "dedicated" refers to a machine that was sold as a complete unit from the factory, and is still in that state. The opposite of a dedicated machine is a "conversion", which is what your cocktail is. To restore it to its dedicated state would mean turning it back into a Pac-Man or Galaga or whatever it was when new; using the original hardware.

Yeah, I'd like to restore it to a dedicated galaga at some point...
Anyways opinions on the Upright?

I would put at 60 in 1 jamma board in the cocktail unit.  It would be an easy upgrade, as it is a Jamma board.  saint's note - do not link to copyright and/or MAME license violations please. Link removed.
And I would probably MAME the other cabinet.

I like the idea of 60 in 1 as it would be a cheaper way to get galaga on there as well as my favorite....dig dug.

Forgot to mention...  The only bad part of using the 60 in 1 is that you'd have to put controls back into the ends there.  The 60 in 1 is a vertical board.

This is gonna be a better place to get feedback than KLOV on these projects. The fact that the Ct doesn't have CP's on the ends is confusing. If you were to do a 60 in 1 you will need to build the 2 cp's on the ends, otherwise it'll be a waste to have dual trackball support.
Personally, I'd take advantage of that CP on the long side and keep it a horizontal mame.

I don't want to horizontal mame the cocktail when I'll be mameing my upright..............it would be pointless. I wasn't planning on adding a trackball to either of them.

Then you want a 48 in 1... and you'll still have to build two ct joystick cp's... What will become of that 3rd side cp?

What? The monitor rotates...I don't need any joysticks on the sides.

I don't think a 19" monitor can be mounted in vertical orientation in that cocktail.

When you say the monitor rotates, do you mean the monitor physically rotates, or do you mean the image is displayed vertically on the horizontal monitor?

Physically, it has mounting holes and the space to do so.
