I have my jukebox set up now with onboard 2.1 Boston Acoustics Speakers. I love them, they fill the room, no problems. I am considering adding a sound system outside, nothing spectacular, my old 5.1 Sony Tuner at 100W/channel and some outdoor speakers. I'd like to use an FM modulator on the jukebox to send tunes to the outside receiver. Pretty vanilla so far, but here is where it gets dicey.
I'd like to be able to switch between my onboard speakers and an FM modulator. Preferably, I'd like the option to output to both at the same time as well, but that's not a deal killer. I can live with a software option or a hardware option...as long as it doesn't involve me unplugging one output and plugging in the other evertime I switch.
So, I guess the 2 options, if this is possible, are 2 sound cards or a soundcard with dual outputs (if they make such an animal). It seams that a dual output card may actually be set up for something like this, software wise. Any suggestions?
