that can vary greatly, depending on the cabinet.  most are around 6ft tall...

mine is on the small side, since it was designed for a 19inch monitor, it is just under 25 inches wide, my control panel is detachable and is 30 inches wide.

average.. I'd say between 26 and 34 inches wide, and about 36 inches deep, 70 inches tall.

needless to say my Mortal Kombat II is much bigger then my Namco Cyberlead

Assume 3 feet by 3 feet by 6 feet. If a fridge box will fit, your average arcade machine will fit.

If those measurements are close, then you need to be specific about the cab.

It's close to 4 feet wide where I'd put the cab. Gotta look to see what my options are cab wise tomorrow.

... and this brings up the FIRST rule of arcade cabs.  Measure the doors width before you buy and or make a cab.

If I can't fit it in my spare room I can just put it in my garage. I would just prefer it go in my spare room though :P

another rule, messure the longest spot on teh cab..

IE say top front (usually by marquee and highest spot on cab)

to bottom rear

the reason to do this is if you have low ceilings you need to know if you can clear them.. say if you're moving the cab with a dolly, you'll have to tip the cab upright.. where i live actually has low ceilings.. like 6.5 feet, i have'nt had a problem yet but pretty close, closer then you'ed think.

i agree with the 3x3x6 assessment, thats pretty good measurement to keep in mind for general use.

most cabs will be less then 36 inches side, as thats the most common width door way.
Anyone got change for a dollar?
