« on: August 18, 2009, 10:50:46 am »
I'm toying with the idea of building a Star wars Cockpit but figured I might try and do the flight yoke first, so I'm  looking for info on what is the best joystick to hack, from a playing perspective??

If you mean use the control part of the stick, there isn't one.

I expect that he means what is the best controller to hack for an interface, in which case the "go to" answer has always been the Sidewinder.

This is going to open up a can of worms, but I believe that Dave at RAM Controls is planning to offer a USB interface to his Star Wars yoke. Can't find the reference right now, but is definitely worth looking into.
