It's possible as I've done it, however it was years and years ago and I do not vaguely remember how I did it. But if you've found instructions, either they will work or you can make it work if I did.

If I remember correctly you needed tv out? It actually worked pretty well considering, but I'd recommend you just buy a proper gun if you're that bothered about it. I just did it out of interest.

ADD: Looking at the link, I'm fairly certain those were the same 'plans' I used. (Svideo)

I wouldn't say bothered but challenged...and I like challenges...It seems like a waist for a gun that could be used on our mame cabs. You can pick them up cheap enough...

Ohh I'm gona need to go from VGA to gun somehow as I'm running a 31" crt computer monitor on my cab.

If I remember rightly software was also needed (a driver) for the guncon2 to work properly, if it's not on that site I'm sure google will haveit somewhere. I think there was a thread on here for it as well.

Yea I had found it also....I believe Andy at Ultimarc was at one time building an interface for just this purpose but interest had fallen off and so it was put away....I would like to rekindle the project if there was enough interest by others.

I'd forgotten all about it to be honest, I was excited when I remembered about it until I also remembered that those don't work on HDTVs The only CRT's I have left are in my arcade machines now, otherwise I would have dug that old cable out again
