Game launch problem

My Mala is and has been working great with one exception that I can't nail down.

Every time I try to load "Bank Panic", it crashes back to the selection screen.  I feel like it is something to do with the fact that Bank Panic is a horizontal game and I am trying to display it on a vertical monitor through Mala.

The thing I don't understand is that in my MAME Res Tool when testing it,  it displays rotated and looks and plays perfectly. 

Could this be something set incorrectly in my Mala options?

My .ini file for it has the correct resolution set.

Any help is appreciated.
