FS: WG D9400 [Fort Wayne/Indianapolis, IN USA]
« on: July 30, 2009, 08:16:23 pm »
I have a Wells Gardner D9400 I'd like to sell.  At least I think it's a D9400; it's got the slightly curved tube.  I can look up the exact model number this weekend.  Everything works fine, but there is some CRT burn from Guitar Freaks.

I'm asking $100.  I've seen boardsets only go for $75 or so.  I can deliver anywhere within the Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, or possibly Northwest Chicagoland area or you can meet me somewhere to pick it up.  I can also ship it if you really want.

I'd prefer to sell the whole unit but I would consider selling the boards only if somebody needs just that and doesn't want to ship the CRT.  No discount for boards only as I then have to dispose of the CRT.

Preferred payment is cash or USPS MO on the spot.  I can accept Paypal (no CC) if you cover the fees.

I'm in Cleveland but would be willing to meet pretty close.  can you post a pic of the burn in?  This is 27", right?

Thanks,
Tim

This is a 27" (29" Japanese size), yes.  I can probably justify meeting somewhere in the middle by going to Cedar Point.

I've already left for the weekend I think, but I'll try to get a picture of the burn next weekend or ASAP.  It's not as bad as what you see on many classics, but it is there.  The monitor is obviously only a few years old simply due to the age of the model, but it was run with the contrast set way too high (blooming badly), which causes quicker than usual burn.  Picture is still very good, and it's still plenty bright.

Sorry for the delay.  I have the pictures, but I can't find my darned SD card reader, so I'll have to remember to borrow one.  I'll get you the pictures when I can.  The burn is actually not as bad as I thought even.  It's barely visible except on a white screen.

I picked up a monitor from delta88.  Sorry man. I hadn't heard back from you in a while. I'm sure it will sell quick though if the pics are as you say. Good luck!
