Finished my graphics for The Grid
« on: July 30, 2009, 05:38:18 pm »
For my next cab, I've put together a Tron influenced theme and called it The Grid. I finished the marquee and just uploaded it to mamemarquees.com for printing. I'm having the CP and monitor bezel printed at Sams Club since the CP is covered in plexi. I've only printed 1/2 the bezel since they don't go beyond 20x30. It doesn't matter since the bezel is already black and I'll just glue it on and it will blend in. Attached are the graphics. This cab should look cool when done!

Very cool..... at first I thought it was going to be based on The Grid, the game.

lol, oops. No I never heard of that one. I'm referring to Tron's Grid. When it comes to arcade games, I'm still stuck in the 80's.  :lol

They had vidiot games back in the 80's ??   ;D

Seriously though, your artwork looks slick.
I like the "simpler" graphics, which in turn makes it pop even more to me.

Thanks. I got a Happ translucent blue track ball thats going in the middle. I think all the controls will pop.

I did make all the art but it's all based on stuff I've seen like the Tron marquee and a grid control panel I've seen on the web. So I don't know how original it really is, but I did make it all in Adobe Illustrator CS4 so I had to learn a few new tricks. I hadn't used AI in a few years.

That's the Blade Runner font I used, BTW. The Tron font looks kinda funny with different words.
