Help with Mameroom Classic Controller
« on: July 25, 2009, 09:24:13 am »
A few months ago I purchased a Mameroom Classic Controller.  Finally got it all setup and running on a new Dell XPS M1530.  Running Mame 0.129.

First thing is:  any way to program the controller so that one button is ESC?  As of now I can't esapce out of a game without pulling out the laptop and hitting the ESC key.  Actually, any way to customize all the controls?  I know how to do it in a game, but on the controller itself, any way to change the assignments?

Next is a very small delay between hitting a button and reaction on the screen.  Just enough that it's annoying.  I've got all three USB connectors hooked up: one for buttons, one for spinner, one for trackball.

Anyway, sorry for the noon questions!   ;)

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Just go into MAME's control setup (hit TAB) and change CANCEL UI to whatever button or combination of buttons you want.
