These are two of the greatest books released during the video game craze of the 1980's.  Check them out at

  • Awesome face!
I ebayed my 1981 version of that book a while back, the one with a bunch of vector games, Pac-Man, Berzerk, and Galaxian. It fetched a pretty good price for a beat up old paperback. ($15 IIRC).
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

I actually have the 1982 version. It's funny that this is posted because we're cleaning out stuff for a garage sale and I found this book again. My wife asked me if that was going in the garage sale. I looked at it....and said no.

Of course, now it's outside in the garage for storage, but it's still a good book. It's interesting reading future predictions from a very old book (the Intellivision will rule all!)

And still, there's no home Qix version, is there????

Sure.  Atari made a home version for their Atari 5200 console.  Looked great, but played terribly because of the non-centering analog joysticks included with the 5200.  I believe it was also made available for the Atari 8-bit home computers as well.
