Xarcade stick insides
« on: July 09, 2003, 10:22:25 pm »
I've been searching the net for a pic of the insides of an xarcade stick.  Has anyone seen one or have a stick that they could snap a pic of?  I'm just curious as to how the innards are setup.  Thanks in advance.

Looks just like the back side of all the other control panels you can find here.  Horizontal switches on all of the controls.  4/8 way configurable joysticks.

I took all my x-arcade controls out of the CP that they ship it with and mounted them in my own board.  And before everyone tells me how bad x-arcade is, the interface board's ability to connect to PS2, XBox, N64, etc...well worth it for a multi system cabinet.  A simple serial switch box and you never have to swap the cables around.

I may upgrade the switches at some point as they are a little "mushy", but the joysticks seem to be good enough for now.
