I'm looking to possibly re-wire a japanese cabinet for Jamma. Now, I was just wondering whether this would be a simple enough task and what I would required to do in order to do this. Say, I had a 29" monitor that worked and a pair of speakers from the original cab - what else would I need to get it up and running to play jamma? I know, of course, you'd need a jamma harness and a PSU - would the latter need to be a certain type or could any arcade PSU be used? Or would it be a case of having the same output as the original PSU? Also, would you need an audio amp of some type? If so, could this be any arcade audio amp, or would it have to be specific to the cabinet? Lastly, with the jamma harness, would all the connections be fairly straight forward to get the bare cabinet up and running (monitor, speakers, controls)?
Sorry this are such niave questions but until the best way to learn things is by doing them (and asking people who know about them too!
